• In this service, David S. Hogg preaches from 2 Chronicles 36 on the subject of "The Chronological Context of the Great Commission." He begins with an overview of the coming message, followed by the reading of the text from 2:11-6:03. He prays from 6:03-7:00. His first focus is on "Commission context," including the kings in exile as well as the temple and the sins of the people. At 16:03, he transitions to focusing on the "Chronicles context," especially the celebration of Passover in the Old Testament. This is followed by the "Canonical context" at 21:32, beginning with the transition to the Gospel of Matthew.
