• Richard Loren Hester was Professor of Pastoral Care and Psychology of Religion. The service begins with organ music (00:00-04:36). Glenn Miller delivers a public reading of the Scriptures, and he gives a word of prayer (04:37-06:01). Richard Loren Hester speaks about the recent release of American hostages from Iran, and through this experience, he recognizes that vulnerability of life (06:02-11:24). Glenn Miller does a responsive reading from the Psalms, and another speaker gives her experience of dealing with the hostage crisis (11:25-18:21).
