- Martin Emil Marty was Associate Professor of Church History at the University of Chicago. (He is an American Lutheran religious scholar who has written extensively on religion in the United States.) The service begins with a word of prayer by Dr. Binkley from 0:00-1:24. Dr. Binkley introduces the speaker from 1:51-3:56. Dr. Marty speaks from 4:00-47:55.
