Alison Smith relates Southeastern’s institutional controversy to the feelings of the Psalmist in Psalm 35 and urges her listeners not to deny the depths of their anger, to acknowledge their own sins, to acknowledge their persecution, and to acknowledge corporate pain. Several women give a presentation about the birth of Jesus (2:00-5:03). Jones shares his thoughts about women who have been called into ministry and reads from Galatians 3:28 (5:04-6:19). Jones admits to being a skeptic when it comes to Scripture, especially about God’s acceptance, and he speaks on the difficulty of hearing Paul say there is not a division to be made between types of people (6:20-7:40). He speaks on tearing down the walls of what a minister is supposed to be like, removing the masculine and feminine labels and replacing them with attributes devoid of gender assumptions (7:41-12:13). Jones argues that “denying church ordination to a person on the basis of sex” does a great injustice (12:14-18:29). The congregation shares in reciting the litany of affirmation (18:30-20:59). The service ends with a benediction (21:00-21:33).

- Dr. Keith Parks was President of the Foreign Mission Board (FMB), now known as the International Mission Board (IMB). The interview begins with Parks speaking on the process of getting to know the missionaries during his time as president, and he emphasizes the importance of the local churches and cooperation for missions (0:00:0-0:12:01). Parks briefly talks about the impact of his ecclesiology class at Southwestern, and he opens up on his thoughts about the changes that happened in the Southern Baptist Convention in the 1980s that led to his resignation as President of the FMB (0:12:02-0:24:44). Parks gives further criticism of the doctrine of inherency, but he does believe that Jesus, unlike the Scriptures, was without flaw (1:13:41-1:19:55).
