McBurney gives the theme of the lecture, “The Need for Autonomy in Ministry,” and he focus on the tension of the human desire for autonomy and the expectations and demands of the job of ministry. Much of the lecture is a string of points on practical advice for navigating ministry as a pastor (15:57-45:32). The service ends with a word of prayer (45:33-46:08).
