- Wayne Edward Oates was Professor of Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care 1947-1974 at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Oates gives a message titled "Persons, Personages, and People." Oates shares the idea that we are God's people and belong to Him first and foremost. He reminds his listeners that Jesus loves who they are and not what they do.
