- Marvin L. "Marty" Reid was Professor of Greek and New Testament at SEBTS. Dr. Reid begins the service by giving a prayer and reading the source text for the sermon: Luke 4:1-13. The sermon is informally titled, "Strategy for the Ministry." Reid gives a 3 point sermon on the 3 pitfalls we must avoid when we are in the ministry, and the way to overcome these pitfalls is to be like Jesus, who allowed Himself to be directed by the Holy Spirit. Dr. Reid encourages the students to not take shortcuts when they are in the ministry. Professor Reid speaks for the entirety of the recording. The audio was transferred from audio cassette.
