- Joseph Mitsuo Kitagawa was Professor Emeritus and Dean of the University of Chicago Divinity School. (Kitagawa was an eminent Japanese American scholar in religious studies. - Thomas Albert Bland was Professor of Christian Sociology and Ethics (1956-1993). Dr. Bland opens his sermon in prayer and reading of his source text, Hebrews 11:1-16.
