The theme of McBurney’s lecture is “The Need for Intimacy in Ministry.” The first part of the lecture is about the many aspects of regular human intimacy, and the second part is about the ministry navigation of intimacy between the minister and their congregants (12:29-48:17). The service ends with a word of prayer and a benediction (48:18-49:23).
