The first principle is that there is a “permanent moratorium on the institution centered sermon” (8:15-10:17). The second principle is the need to recognize the “limitations of the sermon” (10:18-12:50). He continues by contrasting biblical preaching with unbiblical preaching (12:51-47:46). He concludes by explaining the hope for future biblical preaching (47:47- 48:25). He closes in prayer (48:26-48:39).
