- The service begins with prayer (00:00-03:34). There is no introduction for the speaker, Dr. William Claudius Strickland, but he was Professor of New Testament Interpretation at SEBTS. He spends his time in chapel going over six items about the nature of the Christian life (03:35-04:46). First, we live only by the grace of God (04:47-07:50). Second, there is little difference between the general existence of the Christian and non-Christian (07:51-09:56), saying thirdly that we have nothing to lose because we are not our own (09:57-10:20). Next, transitioning from general to specific, he mentions that we live in faith (10:21-13:54). He then says we live in a radical love not produced by the world but by God (13:55-14:52), and we live in hope in God (14:53-16:41). The service ends with singing (16:42-19:44).

- The service opens with prayer, (00:00-02:17) choral singing, (02:18-05:19) and responsive reading, Selection 84 (05:20-07:20). There is no introduction for William Claudius Strickland, but he was Professor of New Testament Interpretation. The Lord’s Supper is meditated upon, considering not only its practical implications but also its Scriptural meaning. Strickland walks through the passage from the texts of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Strickland identifies three central insights from this passage (07:21-16:40). Firstly, the Lord’s Supper has to do with our present moment in genuine, living table fellowship. This was Paul’s emphasis in 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 (16:41-20:10). Secondly, the Lord’s Supper concerns our future, being celebrated with great joy and not becoming a social club (20:11-21:57). Thirdly, the Lord’s Supper concerns our past, which is the point we usually stress while missing its focus. Focusing on Christ’s death for our sins will result in a present assurance of hope and joy which the congregation will know without question is something that can only come from God (21:58-26:58). Strickland closes the service with prayer and the singing of one stanza of hymn 366 (26:59-27:59).

- A snippet of April 24, 1963's service by the Student Coordinating Council led by professor Edwin Richmond York plays from 27:25-41:07. and Sydnor Lorenzo Stealey was the first president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He begins the service with an overview of the order of events of the chapel from 0:00-2:01. Dr. Strickland prays from 2:04-5:16. President Stealey mentions his hopes that the student aid endowment would grow and shares what his future looks like as he prepares to leave the seminary and officially retire. Dr. Stealey reads Ephesians 3:15-19 and Colossians 1:27. Stealey shares that he hopes to be remembered as a man who strived to lead the seminary to the reality of having Christ dwell in them. Dr. Stealey speaks from 5:24-27:24. This was Dr. Stealey's final message as an official of SEBTS.
