Wilson begins his speech by recognizing those in attendance who are alumni or who have served as part of the faculty or staff at Wake Forest College and University (21:18-25:27). In the first part of his speech, Wilson tells the story of a February night in the 1940s when he was a student at Wake Forest College, and the second part of his speech, he tells a story about his return to campus after serving his country in the Second World War (25:28-52:34). Ellis W. Hollon was Associate Professor of Philosophy of Religion at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Hollon’s message is on wisdom and higher education. He explains why believers must seek wisdom and higher education (4:32-4:54). However, he also examines various harmful reasons people might wrongfully seek higher education (4:55-19:36). He concludes by analyzing the value of education, illustrating that everyone should seek a higher education and wisdom in order to receive personal freedom (19:37-29:17). He closes in prayer (29:18-29:58).
