- The service begins with reading the lyrics of the hymn “What A Friend We Have in Jesus” (00:00-01:05) and prayer (01:06-05:05). There was no introduction for the speaker, Dr. Jesse Burton Weatherspoon, but he was Visiting Professor of Preaching. He begins by reading Jeremiah 45 and expounding on the text (05:06-13:14). He warns of our concern for self when circumstances in life close in around us. He also exhorts us to then see God as involved, not as we may think, but as He really is (13:15-17:39). He then warns of our motives in seeking good things, such as God’s glory, testing to see if we are wanting these things for ourselves or for God purely (17:40-23:04). He ends his time in prayer (23:05-23:48).

- Samuel Simpson was the pastor of Bronx Baptist Church and Wake-Eden Community Baptist Church, both in New York. The service begins with organ music (0:00-9:14). The choir sings a song of worship (9:15-12:02). There is a moment of prayer (12:03-13:43). Samuel Simpson is introduced as the chapel speaker (13:44-15:54). The choir sings an anthem (15:55-18:16). Simpson speaks about being called to be spokesman of God and begins his presentation in prayer (18:17-20:26). He congratulates those in attendance for sharing the gospel and shares about all the mission, teaching, and learning opportunities in the area (20:27-27:25). Simpson turns his attention to a conversation between God and Jeremiah at the beginning of the book of Jeremiah (27:26-34:05). He argues that no one can do God’s will unless one has a relationship with God (34:06-40:21). He also says that to do God’s will, one must have experienced His love (40:22-41:00). Simpson states that Jesus used the familiar to show the unfamiliar (41:01-44:37). He shares that in doing the will of God, one must trust and obey God and serve (44:38-57:25). The service closes with a word of prayer (57:25-58:26).

- Billy T. Mobley was from First Baptist Church in Hickory, North Carolina and was a graduate from Southeastern Seminary. Billy Mobley is introduced as the chapel speaker (0:00-1:59). Mobley introduces his presentation by speaking about the need for people to have a hope of something better in the future (2:00-3:47). He encourages the congregation to read with him from Jeremiah 29:10-11 (3:48-4:40). Mobley discusses the gift of letting go of the past and looking toward the future (4:41-7:55). Mobley provides an illustration to show that one has control over how one reacts to circumstances (7:56-8:37). Mobley explains that according to the Scripture he read, God does two things for His people: He actively thinks of them, and He has a goal for them (8:38-16:52). Mobley closes the service in prayer (16:53-17:49).

The service continues with a reading of Jeremiah 20:7-13 (4:17-7:17). The speaker’s message is on “burning hearts.” He begins his message with an introduction on John Wesley and revival (7:18-9:11). He continues by discussing Jeremiah 20, and the discouragement of ministry (9:12-12:38). He explains that Pastors must remember their love for their people when they are discouraged (12:39-14:35). In addition, he explains that Pastors must avoid extreme impotency, and be willing to follow Jesus despite difficult circumstances (14:36-21:13). He concludes with a prayer (21:14-22:35).
