    William B. Oglesby Jr. was Pastor Emeritus of Pastoral Counseling at the Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. The service begins with organ music (0:00-4:28). There is a moment of prayer (4:29-5:28). The congregation is welcomed to the Adams Lectures (5:29-8:26). William Oglesby is introduced as the Adams Lecturer (8:27-12:11). Oglesby shares experiences with a housefire and during World War II to illustrate the need for faith when life feels as if it doesn’t get any better (38:53-51:54). The service concludes with a blessing (51:55-52:51).
