- John W. Carlton was the Professor of Preaching at Southeastern Seminary. The service begins with a prayer (0:00-1:32). There is a Scripture reading from Psalm 118:19-29 and John 9:1-7 (1:33-4:31). Carlton speaks about the human tendency to long for the future and assume that “the real thing is further on” (4:32-12:13).
