Public Collection

Description:: The Lower Mayo Primitive Baptist Association was founded in 1933 and consisted of churches from North Carolina and Virginia. Associational meetings were held in both North Carolina and Virginia. The Association maintained communication with churches and associations in other states including North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and South Carolina. In 1991 three churches left the association taking on the name Lower Mayo Union Primitive Baptist Association.
